Pinvia has no server. You do not create an account, you do not sign in, and we never send data about you anywhere. Everything the app remembers stays on your phone.
What the app processes
The link and location you give it
When you share or paste a link, the app reads the coordinates or address out of it. This happens on the device. The exception is shortened links — ones that carry no coordinates — because only Apple's servers know which point hides behind them. In that case the app fetches the link from maps.apple.com. Apple then sees what any browser opening that address would see, including the device IP.
If a link contains only a postal address and no coordinates, the app uses the geocoder built into Android to turn that address into a point. That service is provided by Google software on the device.
The app does not read your position. It does not request the location permission and has no access to GPS.
The clipboard
When the main screen opens, the app checks whether the clipboard holds an Apple Maps link and, if so, fills it into the text field so you don't have to paste it yourself. It also reads the clipboard when you tap Paste. Clipboard content is never stored or transmitted. Android itself shows a notice each time the clipboard is read.
The list of installed navigation apps
To show you where a pin can be opened, the app asks the system which apps can handle a location. It receives their names and icons. This is used solely to build the chooser and never leaves the device.
The free-pin counter
To count two free pins a month, the app stores locally the coordinates of opened points rounded to four decimal places, along with the month. This is what lets you reopen the same pin without spending the limit. The record is included in Android backup if you have it enabled, so reinstalling does not reset it. Clearing the app's data removes it entirely.
Payments
You pay directly from your own wallet. The app connects to a wallet installed on your device, receives the public address of the account you choose, and prepares a transaction that you approve in the wallet.
One thing you need to know: Solana transactions are public and permanent. Your address, the amount and the recipient are visible to anyone and cannot be removed. That is a property of the network, not a decision of this app.
To prepare and verify the transaction the app queries a Solana node provider. That provider sees the device IP and the account addresses we ask about.
What the app does not do
- It collects no advertising identifiers and shows no ads.
- It contains no analytics or tracking tools.
- It keeps no user accounts and collects no email addresses.
- It does not read your contacts, photos, messages or device location.
- It does not sell or share data with third parties.

How long data is kept
Only on your device, and only for as long as the app is installed. The pin counter clears itself when the month turns. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes everything it wrote. We hold no copy, because we have no server.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Your rights
Because we store nothing on our side, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete on request. Everything the app has saved is on your device, and you remove it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it. If you still have a privacy question, write to support@cactusprotocol.com.
